Nancy A. Potok, McManis & Monsalve Associates

 

Nancy A. Potok is the Chief Operating Officer at McManis & Monsalve Associates, a strategy and analytics focused management consulting firm. She has more than 30 years of experience as a Federal leader, executive, non-profit administrator, and consultant. She has worked at several Federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of the Army, U.S. Department of Transportation (where she was a 1980 Presidential Management Intern), and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). She served as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Finance and Budget at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and the Principal Associate Director and Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Census Bureau, where she was responsible for the large ramp up for Census 2000, the largest peacetime mobilization in the U.S. She also served as the Senior Vice President and Director of the Economics, Population, and Labor Studies Department, at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago, where she directed survey research and evaluation projects, primarily for Federal agency clients. She has been a featured speaker at international and government-wide conferences and has published numerous articles on management topics. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, a recipient of the Arthur S. Flemming Award, and a member of the Board of Directors of The Public Manager. Ms. Potok holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and is currently completing work on a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Public Administration at George Washington University.
