Conference Overview This second transformational management conference presented by The Public Manager and the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) focuses on Strengthening Trust in Government: Opening Dialogues, Building Collaborations. Join us for a two-day, interactive exchange on how strategic engagement – of the workforce, the public, all levels of government, public nonprofits, and the private sector – can change the most fundamental relationship between government, its citizenry and other stakeholders. The Public Manager, ASPA, and collaborating organizations will offer conference attendees exciting new opportunities for professional engagement and development. Even before the event takes place, moderators, speakers and other participants will weigh in with their views through a variety of pre-conference social networking activities (e.g., polls, wikis, podcasts, etc.). Also, a mix of plenary and concurrent sessions will explore innovative approaches at all levels of government to such challenges as: • engaging the organizational workforce, the public and other stakeholders; This unusually interactive event will also include transformation workshops featuring first-hand case illustrations by government and industry presenters and work group sessions to generate action recommendations for conference attendees to bring back to their organizations and for leaders in Washington and elsewhere to consider as they aim to strengthen trust in government. |
