Harry L. Featherstone

Harry Featherstone is currently serving as president for the The Bureaucrat, Inc. board of directors. Prior to retiring form LMI he served as director of communications and publisher of The Public Manager. For LMI, he was responsible for corporate communications matters and implementation of a corporate branding initiative. Before assuming these responsibilities, Mr. Featherstone was program director for the Electronic Business Strategies group, responsible for all logistics and federal-sector e-Business studies and initiatives. He is recognized internationally as an expert in the development and implementation of electronic business information exchange standards, having held senior leadership positions in national and international standards development organizations.

Prior to joining LMI in 1989, Mr. Featherstone served for twenty years as a naval supply officer, where he acquired extensive experience in all aspects of logistic, financial, resource, and maintenance support for major weapon systems. He served as a special assistant and program manager in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy, where he implemented improved business practices throughout the Navy’s industrial activities. He received a BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
