Ronald W. Manderscheid

Ronald Manderscheid is currently the Director, Mental Health and Substance Use Programs with Constella Group, LLC. He is also an Adjunct Professor, Department of Mental Health at Johns Hopkins University's Bloomberg School of Public Health. Previously, he was the branch chief, Survey and Analysis Branch, of the federal Center for Mental Health Services. Also, he held a variety of positions at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Manderscheid is a past president of the Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association and past chair of the Mental Health Section of the American Public Health Association. He has served as the chairperson of the Sociological Practice Section of the American Sociological Association and as president of the Washington Academy of Sciences and the District of Columbia Sociological Society. During the National Health Care Reform debate, he served as policy advisor on national health care reform in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
