Print Specifications

  • The Public Manager, including advertisements, is printed in four-color process throughout. It is a perfect bound document, 83⁄8 × 11 inches after trim, and approximately 96 pages long.
  • The electronic rendition is faithfully recreated in its entirety, including all advertising.
  • All print advertising copy must be submitted as uncompressed, print-quality PDF files (which must include embedded fonts), TIFF or JPEG (raster-based) files, or EPS files.
  • Raster-based files must be of high resolution (300 dpi) and submitted at 100 percent. PowerPoint and Word files are unacceptable.
  • For formats other than those listed, please contact the Publisher.

 

Web Specifications

  • Ads will be accepted in the following media formats:
    GIF, GIF Animation, JPEG, Text and HTML banners, Flash and Rich Media
  • 30-second maximum for any animation.
  • Creative with a white background must have a minimum 1-pixel border to differentiate ad from editorial content.
  • Any sound must be user-initiated, defined as a click and not a mouseover or rollover, and clearly labeled with "Play" and "Stop" controls.
  • Up to 75K in polite download is allowed. Polite download is the portion of the ad that loads once content loads.
  • Up to 3 additional loads of up to 30K each may be initiated after a user moves their cursor over or clicks on the ad.
  • The Flash frame rate must be less than 18 frames per second; twelve frames per second is preferred.
