About Carroll Thomas, INEAP

A Network of Networks: The INEAP employs an informal, entrepreneurial approach to information sharing and finding ways to maximize government and private resources to better serve larger numbers of smaller enterprises to achieve greater economic impacts. In its short existence the INEAP has developed a reputation among Federal Agencies as a resource to leverage reach to smaller businesses and as an up to date resource of technical and business information. The aggregate reach of the programs and organizations participating in INEAP consist of nationwide networks assistance centers located in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, in 3,150 counties across America, including rural locations, 1,200 community colleges and at least 50 major universities. Assistance and information available through participating organizations include expertise in: workforce training, energy efficiency assessments, business management, marketing and finance, environmental production assessments and implementation, veterans, women’s and minority specific related matters, technical procurement, manufacturing and agricultural production, export finance, growth strategy and intellectual property concerns, business disaster preparedness and recovery, and regional, community-based and economic development topics. Examples of meeting discussion topics include successful export strategies for smaller manufacturers, a Business Ready.gov website with disaster preparedness tools, and a virtual training network offered by National Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Future Prospects: The complementary services provided by INEAP member programs will give clients a full range of support to grow multiple aspects of their businesses and achieve world-class competitiveness. With a focus on building solid partnerships INEAP members are committed to continually explore opportunities and advantages to collective action engagements as needed for economic, disaster, defense and/or security related issues.
